A Black Belts Family
Chris: Taekwondo has taught me to better understand the decisions I make through
the mental teachings and helped me lead a healthy life through the physical challenges.
Diane: I never imagined myself joining them because I thought it was impossible for me since I had cancer. With surgeries after surgeries and treatments after treatments, these have made my mind and body weak …… Obtaining a black belt became one of my goals because it is not only the essence of my accomplishments in Taekwondo but also serves as a reminder of my greatest potential that I have given up during my battle with cancer. My progression in Taekwondo has taught me to be true to myself through its teaching, to work beyond my limitations by pushing myself and to do it all with pride and joy to show my children that I can succeed in anything I do if I put my mind to it.
Justin: Master Kim, Master Chan, and Master Greenburg have made a very big contribution
to my success, not only in Tae Kwon Do, but also getting good grades and being in
accelerated classes in school. (Justin earned his first degree black belt at age
Bryan: For over five years, Master Chan and Master Greenburg taught me Tae Kwon Do, Judo and Kendo. They also taught me to be confident, respect everyone and everything, and never give up when life gets tough. (Bryan earned his first degree black belt at age 11)
Dylon: It’s about learning how I can protect myself and defend others. Tae Kwon Do also gave me the confidences to do my very best in school and prepare for my future. (Dylon earned his first degree black belt at age 8)
